Today we introduce the first of our monthly sales tax reminder posts. We’ll keep you updated on monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax due dates in states with Amazon Fulfillment Centers (i.e. “FBA States”), and explore any special cases that might come up.
States will generally set you up on a sales tax remittance schedule when you apply for your sales tax permit. This month’s post details sale tax due dates in the month of December. You will only have a sales tax due date in December if you are on a monthly schedule with an individual state.

December 2013 Sales Tax Due Dates in FBA States, by Date
No states have quarterly or annual sales tax deadlines this month, so you are only required to remit sales tax this month if you are on a monthly schedule. Here are this month’s monthly sales tax remittance due dates for FBA States:

If you remit sales tax monthly, find the FBA states where you have sales tax nexus to see your sales tax due dates:
Arizona* – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
California – Monthly sales tax due on 12/31/2013
Delaware – This state does not have sales tax
Indiana** – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
Kansas*** — Monthly sales tax due on 12/26/2013
Kentucky – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
Nevada – Monthly sales tax due on 12/31/2013
New Hampshire – This state doesn’t have sales tax
New Jersey – Monthly sales tax due on 12/31/2013
Pennsylvania – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
South Carolina – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
Tennessee – Monthly sales tax due on 12/20/2013
Texas – Monthly sales tax due on 12/31/2013

*Note on Arizona – The mailed return will be considered timely if it is postmarked on or before the 25th of the month or received by the department on or before the next to last business day of the month.
** Note on Indiana – Deadline is the last day of the month of if your sales are less than $1k in Indiana in that month.
***Note on Kansas – Kansas’s due date is generally the 25th of the month, but is the 26th of the month this year due to the holiday.
