The Kent, Washington Amazon fulfillment center has now opened its doors and shipped it’s first item.
According to an article from the Kent Reporter, the first item shipped from the facility, which employees about 1,200, was a swaddling blanket.

Washington is already home to 3 Amazon fulfillment centers, so you may already have sales tax nexus in Washington and be collecting sales tax from Washington buyers. But with every new fulfillment center inventory gets shifted around. So it’s a good idea to:

If you do have products stored in Washington, and you determine that that creates sales tax nexus for you company, your next step is to:
